I’ll be the initial in my family to make a college level, and that’s something I hold extremely near my heart.
My family members and I moved to the United States in 2014 We chose Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and build a much better future.
When I finished senior high school in 2020, I chose to join the Army Get so I can function full time to assist sustain my family economically. Along the road, my moms and dads constantly reminded me of the importance of a college degree. Honestly, I battled with the decision between picking job over institution.
That transformed when I found the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I can gain my degree 100 % online from an accredited, across the country acknowledged Carnegie R 1 college. The flexibility of the program made it possible to stabilize work, life, and education and learning. When I signed up, I knew I made the appropriate option.
As an online trainee, I remained included with university life with profession fairs and signing up with trainee companies like the Culture of Human Resource Administration. I wished to obtain the most out of my university experience and get in touch with people who shared my interest for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of fall semester. Thanks to the support and structure of UofM Worldwide, I was able to finish solid, also making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking 4 courses while serving on active service, and I’m proud to claim I’ll be finishing in May.
Being able to serve my country, sustain my family, and make my degree suggests the world to me. I really feel ready to take on whatever comes next.
